What a surprise! My blog is back in business?! Boy would I have lots to write - really. I thought no one would drop by any more, but the statistics have gone through the roof. Here are my latest blog statistics:

Why such a looong blog break

Well, the REAL reason is - I've had a lot of OTHER things to think of. BUT - the MAIN reason still, is that blogspirit changed their fees and I did NOT agree on them. And simply - I haven't had the time nor motivation to start a new one. I know lots of others went to wordpress...

How fun to be back - how much there would be to tell...!

What a great enjoyment to be out of town a few days. Agneta (friend of my girlfriend) and Lukas will become wife and husband tomorrow. No kiddin' it's a LOT of arrangements.

But I, on my side have had a wonderful and relaxing day. Went out for a nice walk with Patrick Helström, discussed life and church life. I've read a few articles on Emerging Church and some other interesting stuff like "Starving Jesus - 40 days of nothing" by Craig Gross and JR Mahon. Many questions do arise. To name a few: What's the role of church-life in relation to living as a christian (christian = pointing to Jesus as Jesus pointed to his Father)? How much is the successfullnes of a church dependent on a (single) charismatic front figure? What actually IS a successfull church by definition? Why does it seem so easy to have very high confessions in our churches, our preachings, and our lives as christians, and still seem very seldom to live up to them? And even worse - almost never seem to realise we don't live up to the confessions. And - why are there so many oppinions, and so few eager to do something to what ever they have oppinions about? And yet one more: How important is the spiritual and theological inheritage from previous generations and older movements?

Now is the perfect moment.
Time to wake up. And write a few lines. My friend - Mathias - says that you can keep a blog alive with just a few minutes per day. And well, he might be right. Three minutes is much if you have little to say. Or very little, if you have a LOT to say.

But, boy, do I have thing to say! It's five months and six days since my last post.

First of all.

I've been given the privilege to court with the greatest woman on earth.

Good for starters eeh? It's like looking at a beautiful garden, with all these flowers. And suddainly you see the Flower, most adorable one. If money could buy, you'd buy it at once. But realising there are things money really, really can not buy.
So Love is the strangest thing on earth. And true love, a thing money can't buy. It feels like a gift from heaven. And so it is.

As Patrick Hellström stated: -Well, it was about time.
And right he was, I guess. So has at least one issue come to an end (and hopefully will stays so) - all visiting pastors, friends and brothers, reminding of the most obvious. The youth pastor that ought to find someone. Loads of suggestions. - You should make a list of the girls you like. ... -Well I did.
- If you know who you like, shouldn't you do something about it.
- Well.. I have.
- So what're you waiting for?

So. I came to think of love, as an egg. If you try to hug it to early, it only cracks and get's really messy. Question is, if it'll ever repair. But - if you dear to wait until it hatches, the most adorable baby birdie will come out, that probably doesn't want anything else than to be hugged.

And, right I was. I guess. I'm happy to have such a lovely girlfriend as Lotta :) Cutie she is.

Well - what else is new?

- Bought an apartment near by the center of Helsinki. In Södra-Haga. Last September. I could have told, I know =/ But please pop in any day =) To find your way, fly by with Google Earth for instance. You will have to have the Google Earth software installed. It's free.

- Been processing a lot of life. Boy - girl relationships. Read through Boy Meets Girl a few times. A must read for anyone, single, dating, or in courtship. Best book on dating and courtship I've ever read! Came across many interesting articles on the web also about dating, courtship, building healthy relationships and other nice stuff. If I'll have time, I'll review them some day.

- Started working at Syke, the Finnish Environment Institute in January as IT-consult on a research program for Global Change. Working with the guys giving the doomsday profecies, at least in regard to the climate. Nice place. Fun people.

- Created a new web page, or actually a blog for Fila. Feel free to visit!

- I'm bored with the layout of my blog. Have to change it. Quiz: how long will it take ;-)

Autum melodies - new album

It was a beautiful autumn morning, quite rare. The fog danced on the sea and the sun shined in once in a while giving nature and buildings the best colors ever. - Enjoy!

Well - time for a few lines.

Time is a bad invention. Still its helpful at times.

Time is frustrating. But prevents all things from happening at once.

Time makes me sweat. But when friendly, helps me rest.

I'm not stressed. But there is always things to do.

So many things one would want to do, places to explore, people to meet. But still the main question remains - what is really most important?

Ps 127:2 says:

(The message)
It's useless to rise early and go to bed late,
and work your worried fingers to the bone.
Don't you know he enjoys
giving rest to those he loves?

In swedish it says:
Förgäves stiger ni tidigt upp och går sent till vila
för att äta det bröd ni slitit för.
Detta ger han åt sina vänner medan de sover.

Translated: In vain you rise early and go late to rest, to eat the bread you've toiled for. He gives the same to his friends while they are asleep.

And two more english translations:

(NKJV)
It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep

(New Living Translation)
It is useless for you to work so hard
from early morning until late at night,
anxiously working for food to eat;
for God gives rest to his loved ones.

Yet adding verse one in the same psalm:

Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders work for nothing. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the men who watch over it stay awake for nothing.

So, what can we conclude? - If we don't have the favor of God in our lives, everything we do will be in vain. None of our work, our efforts, strivings or ambitions will do ANY good at all. This is the basics of salvation, still SO many christians struggle with this. Why such a hurry. Why all the panic? (Preaching to my self as well!) We try to win the world and find us "Anxiously working for food to eat" - when we have a God who is our provider - Jehova Jireh. (Means 'God will provide').

Well - things go wrong because we don't know him!! We don't have his favor, as we aren't truely his friends. We don't know that he will provide, because we haven't been with him, loosing the insight of who He really is.

So, it begins with us starting to think differently. Prioritizing in a new way. The more buzy we are, the bigger offering it might seem to be. But - if the prize for not reprioritizing is that what we do is in vain, that is a pretty high prize.
